Tarique Rahman, a young dynamic entrepreneur, son of Prime Minister Khaleda Zia and late President Ziaur Rahman, was appointed joint secretary general of the ruling BNP on 23rd June 2003.

Tariq has been a member of the Bogra district unit of the BNP for several years, He was assigned by the party to work for the BNP's election campaign during the last two general elections

He also took initiatives for the modernization of Bogra district. One of his target is to bring Bogra towards a global village of Information Technology in the next five years.


By the grace of his mother Khaleda Zia, Tarique Rahman became most corrupted person in the country. The present care taker government is adamant to arrest all corrupted politician including Tarique
